Here's a bit about me

As a young girl growing up in Southern California, Catherine had a fascination with fashion and design. If she wasn't in the dance studio or at the beach, she was turning her entire bedroom into a Barbie dream house.

After graduating from Cal Poly SLO with a Bachelors of Science Degree and a Minor in Dance, Catherine dedicated 10 plus years to teaching elementary education. Upon having her own two children, Catherine decided to leave her teaching career behind to pursue her true passion, design.

Catherine began her design career working for Spoak, a virtual design company. She quickly discovered that she missed the physical aspect of design and began working as a staging assistant at a local staging company. It was then that her love for staging developed and she knew she had discovered her true calling. After years of honing her skills, she branched out on her own, and Pure Lux was formed. She has developed relationships with some of the best real estate agents in the Bay Area as well as the industry's finest vendors. Catherine holds an Expert Staging Studio Certification, is a Certified Color Expert, Holds an Expert Certification in E Design. is an active Member of the Real Estate Staging Association, a member of the San Mateo Momprenuers Group, A member of BNI Rise, and has been featured on the Bay Area's Momprenuer podcast. Her keen eye for details, talent for accessorizing, innate ability to spot and use trends, has her sought after by the Bay Area's top real-estate experts. Her work has been featured on the stages of Real Producer's Magazine events as well as social media campaigns for large furniture vendors such as Safavieh & Sagebrook Home.

When she isn't prepping homes to hit the market or scavenging the shelves of Home Goods, you can find her ballroom dancing, at the beach, or chasing her 2 kids around the peninsula.

Catherine is so grateful to get to do what she loves everyday and is excited to continue to help people make their homes shine.
